What is an Innovation Fashion?
Much of the innovation industry is just as much a slave to fashion as the fashion industry itself.
But what is an innovation fashion? Here is my definition: An innovation fashion is a concept that- has actually been around for a long time,
- is marketed as a silver bullet by media and consultants alike,
- is misunderstood by almost everyone who talks about it.
One difference between the innovation and the fashion industries is that everyone in the latter knows and freely admits that they are in the fashion business.
In 2009, the reigning fashion was Disruptive Innovation, and the new challenger was Open Innovation.
